Safety and Preventative Measures in Centre
The health, safety and well being of our customers, retail partners, employees and our community is our highest mission.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to keep our community safe, we have had significant precautionary cleaning, hygiene and sanitising practices in place since early March.
Our latest measure is to introduce the mandatory wearing of face masks by all our Mirvac Retail employees and teams including Security and our cleaners.
The measures introduced to safeguard the health and safety of our community include:
- Increased cleaning of high touch point areas including bathrooms, food courts, doors, lifts and travelators
- Sanitisation stations around the centre including at all entries and food courts
- Increased signage to support our community to social distance and follow all Department of Health guidelines
- Revised seating in our food courts and other parts of the centre to support social distancing and the 4 square metres per person rule
- Queuing and crowd management in our food courts during busy times
- Increased staff presence with COVIDSafe vests worn by our management teams to easily identify those who are able to support customers and community members.
- Introducing our contactless customer experience service and our Customer Support Centre which is contactable via phone, email, social media or SMS for extended hours every day of the week
- Traffic tracker on our website to assist customers in planning their visit to avoid busy periods when they shop
- Increased hand sanitiser stations at car park pay stations and antibacterial and microbial silver-ionised safety film on all ticket machines and pay stations
- Contactless wave technology to activate car park ticket machines

On 8 May 2020, the Australian Government outlined a 3-step plan to gradually ease restrictions introduced at the end of March 2020; and to re-open a COVID-Safe Australia and economy.
Step 1 will focus on carefully reopening the economy and giving Australians opportunities to return to work and social activities, including gatherings of up to 10 people, up to 5 visitors in the family home, some local and regional travel and reopening restaurants, cafes and shopping.
From Monday 1 June 2020, we will start to see even more of our retailers reopen to trade, as the New South Wales Government begins to cautiously ease restrictions to allow people to look after their own, and others’ health, wellbeing and social connection.

While it is encouraging that restrictions are starting to be eased, as a community we still have a way to go and we continue to follow Government and Health Department advice. We ask for the ongoing support of our community in maintaining social distancing and supporting our hygiene standards, whilst we continue to work collaboratively with our retailers supporting them in their reopening plans. Together, we can help stop the spread.
This continues to be a tough time for all our customers, retailers and employees within our community, across Australia and the world, but the health, safety and well-being of our community and our loved ones is most important. Things are changing every day, so let’s stay calm, safe and look after each other.
The changes that have affected our centre include:
1. Cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs will be able to open for up to 50 dine-in guests at a time, in addition to serving takeaway food
2. Beauty, nail, waxing and tanning salons and are able to reopen with a maximum of 10 customers. These salons have been requested by NSW Government to record the attendance of their staff, customers and contractors in their premises
3. Hair salons and barbers are still open and social distancing must be observed
4. Cinemas, auditoriums and entertainment venues remain closed
5. Amusement parks and arcades remain closed
6. Community and recreation centres, gyms, yoga and barre studios, spin facilities, fitness centres and spas remain closed.
Some businesses and services have been exempted from these changes and will remain open including all health-related services (for example physiotherapists).
We will be open and operating as normal except for these above restrictions.
To help all of us and our community stay safe and healthy, all restrictions relating to social distancing stay in place and must be strictly followed, so please let's work together to stop the spread:
All non-essential indoor gatherings of less than 100 people must have no more than one person per 4sqm
